contains important information about our Angling Road Parent-Teacher Organization. You will find useful information such as up-to-date school news, volunteer opportunities, links, and pictures. It also provides links to other resources that you may find useful. Our PTO meets the second Thursday of the month in the media center. Enjoy!

OPEN CHAIR POSTIONS

Below is a list of our Committee Chairperson positions that are currently open. We enjoy getting new volunteers that can help put a new spin on things and refresh ideas. Our PTO programs cannot run without volunteers. If we do not fill these chair positions, we will not be able to have the programs. If you are interested please contact PTO Vice-President Rachel Kaiser at dacsales.rachel@gmail.com or 269-270-3952. There will be a Chairpersons Orientation meeting in September to go over paperwork and information you will need to run a successful program.

5th Grade CD
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT:  VACANT
Role Description: Collects pictures from 5th grade parents, teachers, and Yearbook Chairperson to review and organize. Compiles pictures, set to music, onto a CD. A CD is made for each 5th grade student.


Carnival

SUBCOMMITTEE CHAIR FOOD CONTACT: Jodi Hoag CO-CHAIR NEEDED
Role Description: Work with Subcommittee Chair and Carnival Chairperson to help manage and run concessions during the carnival.


SUBCOMMITTEE CHAIR PRIZES CONTACT: Pam Wesley CO-CHAIR NEEDED
Role Description: Work with Subcommittee Chair, Carnival Chairperson, and the games subcommittee to help manage, organize, purchase, and record all prizes during the carnival.

 

CIC (Curriculum Instruction Council)
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT: VACANT
Role Description: Attend monthly CIC meetings and attend monthly PTO meetings to report back discussions at the CIC meeting. Great for a parent who cannot volunteer during regular school hours.

 

Girls on the Run
ANGLING ROAD SITE LIASON: VACANT
Role Description: Work with GOTR office to get information out to 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls. Recruit coaches, create teams, gather registrations and fees, manage and support coaches. Training and paperwork provided by GOTR.

 

Lunchbox Math
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT: VACANT
Role Description: Promote and manage the Lunchbox math games to second and third graders. Work with volunteers to teach the games and monitor them. Program takes place during lunch and lunch recess in winter for six weeks. Games and training will be provided.

Popcorn Friday
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT: VACANT
Role Description: Work with volunteers to set up popcorn to sell to students on Fridays from Oct- May. Work with PTO and bring ideas for fund usage to meeting to be voted on. Monitor supplies and work with Co-Treasurer on supply needs.

Public Relations
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT: VACANT
Role Description: Work with PTO Board, Chairpersons, and room parents, as well as school office to get events and good works out to the public and the media, help maintain bulletin boards, attend monthly PTO meetings, and work with PPS. Great for a parent who cannot volunteer during regular school hours.

Teacher Appreciation
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT: VACANT
Role Description: Coordinating teacher conference dinners in Fall and Spring, coordinate and publicize Teacher Appreciation week, work with Volunteer Chairperson to gat volunteers for different events throughout the year. Will also be responsible for gifts during Administrative Assistance Appreciation Day.

 

Volunteer Coordinator
COMMITTEE CHAIR CONTACT: VACANT
Role Description: recruit and monitor volunteers in roles that support Angling Road staff, students and all PTO events. Serve as a link between the schools’ volunteer needs, parent or community resources and as a liaison to the PTO. Work closely with the PTO VP and Chairpersons as well as their subcommittees to ensure their volunteer needs are met. Attend monthly scheduled PTO meetings and perform all other duties pertaining to the position so that the purpose of the organization is served.
